The Story Behind the Stories

I'll admit, I started as that kid that hated books. I'd rather watch TV any day than read a boring book. When I was eight years old I first discovered the power my imagination had when reading. After that, reading became my escape from hard things in life. I started writing my own stories not long after... Even if they were maybe a couple hundred words at best!

I was twelve when I began to wonder what career I should pursue in my future, and wondered how I could incorporate my love of reading. From then on I pushed head first into writing and have been fighting for it ever since.

I was fifteen when I first started to publish work out in the scary big world, using apps, such as everyone's favourite 'Wattpad', or websites, such as QuoteV.

When I started university, studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Creative Writing) at QUT, writing on these forums weren't taken very seriously. This really hit my confidence for a few months, until I refused to let something like that stop me.

Since then I've hit my writing hard, wanting my own place to put my work out into the world. Thus the beginning phases of this website were born.
