Loving Change - Chapter Eight

Tyron felt his stomach drop, 'What have I done now!?'. Rushing to Sam's side, Tyron sat beside her on the edge of the bed and put an arm around her frame.

"Darling, I swear to you, I had no idea. I just wanted to protect you.", He couldn't think straight, his mind was buzzing with all the ways she could hate him now; she could kick him out - just like Ragsuda, she could hand him over to be imprisoned. "All I knew was that there were two men trying to take you! - "

"Tyron." Sam tried to stop him so that she could speak, but wasted her breath in vain.

"I couldn't have known they were your siblings! Please, darling, I'm so sorry!" His eyes fought back the feeling of welling up.

"Tyron. I don't - " Again, it was as if her words were mere whispers to him.

"Please! Don't hate me, darling. Don't make me leave! I can fix things! Please!"

"Tyron!", Shouting loud enough to be heard anywhere in the house seems to either have caught his attention or shocked him into silence... Either being fine. "I don't hate you. I'm not making you leave. I just - I just wish this all could have never happened. Have a nice day and come home for a quiet night - but no."

Reaching her hand out to grab Tyron's spare hand, linking fingers in a silent show of affection between the two - and a quiet plea for safety. Sitting in silence they both held tightly to each other while they gather themselves together again before something shatters their moment of reprieve. Tyron was at a complete and utter loss, how could she be so caring and forgiving towards him in a situation like this. What was to be their next move?

After something like that, on a planet like this, "What do we do now?"

"Where're my brothers? And are they alive or... dead?" Sam's whole body physically slumped saying that last word. She didn't really want to even think about that possibility, but what was their alternative? To leave them wherever, in whatever condition - not an option.

"I don't know if they're alive or not. When Colton set on them, I ran with you in my arms." Tyron seemed hesitant, unsure of whatever was bouncing around his brain.

"Tyron? What is it?" Sam needed to know all details if she was going to be able to fully assess their situation and possible scenarios.

"When I fled, there were a lot of... screams. I - I can't imagine things went well." Tyron's face was a rare mix of guilt and empathy, a look Sam never thought she'd see him show towards her.

"You can't guarantee that, not without actually going and checking - I won't believe you otherwise." Sam couldn't even bring herself to raise her voice at him, her heart was far too close to being broken. She simply felt too weak.

"Realistically speaking, if it is worse case scenario - having been mauled by a wolf - you shouldn't be seeing that. If you do, you'll never stop seeing it - especially because it's your family."

"But, Tyron-"

"I know you may not like the idea of it, but past the sentiments of family, you know I'm right.", Sighing in saddened defeat; Sam knew both that he was right, but that arguing against him would be fruitless. "You wait here with Colton while I go check what exactly we're in for. Either way, whatever happens I'll come back and get you so we can plan out our next moves. Agreed?", Looking him directly in his lavender purple eyes, a last ditch attempt to get him to change his mind, she begrudgingly nodded her head. "Stay here."

Grumbling under her breath she watched on in silence as the ravenette disappeared through the door, closing it behind him again. Wrapping her arms around herself, realising how lonely she suddenly felt, pulling her knees up to her chest; Sam waited with baited breath - listening for the slightest sign of anything.

Feeling the bed beneath her shift her eyes trailed over to the fluffy bloodied form of Colton, pawing near her for attention.

"Ever my protective baby, huh boy?", Reaching her hand out to rub the top of his head between his fuzzy ears. "What's going to happen to our lives now?" Colton tilted his head to the side in confusion at his master's odd behaviour. Distant footsteps sounded as they gradually approached the bedroom door.

"Tyron?" Sam was on her feet in seconds, ready to do something rather than sitting and hoping. No response was given back to her however, only the pace of footsteps drastically increasing towards the room.

The carved wooden white door was thrown open, scarring Sam back enough to fall back onto the bed. The buff tan black haired man that stood in the doorway starring down at her with his hard deep brown eyes was in no shape or form her mischief maker.

Fear spiked through her bloodstream, as her eyes widened in shock at seeing who towered over her like a reaper of souls.

Growling like an animalistic wild beast at her, "What happened to them?" The terror within her didn't want her to answer him, wanted her to disappear from being anywhere near the monster. Then from within the seas of fear that filled her came a single thought, 'If he's here, he could only reach me one way... and that's the same way Tyron was!'

"If you've hurt him, I swear to whatever god can hear me - "

Then with a voice Sam never knew she'd be so overjoyed to hear, "I can hear you loud and clear, darling." Tall, dark, and tan freezed feeling the stinging bite of a blade pressed against his neck from the other worldly man behind, with his cunning smirk plastered on to Sam's delight.

"What happened to my brothers!?", the mammoth of a man starred dead into Sam's eyes while growling deeply at the pair. "I won't ask again, Samantha." Tyron eyed Sam's face, confused at the stranger's words, 'Were they Sam's brothers, or his?".

Sam's face contorted as she snarled back at him "Go to hell, Nikolai.", Tyron was sure she was going to completely bite his head of with how her disposition changed. "And stay the hell away from me! Laws are laws; obey the restraining order!"

"That little slip of paper expired yesterday.", the demonic smile that freely spread across his face made Sam want to punch him. "You should really check those things and keep them updated." The confusion dancing around in the light of Tyron's mauve eyes only intensified the longer this intruder stayed.

"Get out of my house." Sam seethed at Mr. Tall & Tan.

"Not without. Knowing what. Happened to. My. Brothers." Sam had reached her absolute limit with this dangerous moron, ready to call the cops on him - whatever the consequences.

"Well then just take them with you when you go and ask them!"

Tyron suddenly went from confused and on edge to nervous and concerned in milli seconds, "That may prove difficult. Sam, I'm sorry, but they're - they... didn't make it."
