Loving Change - Chapter Three

Sam, in her sleepy zombie state, didn't really think were she was going and completely relied on muscle memory. Opening the last door on the right Sam walked into in and suddenly realised just where they were. This was her room. Suddenly awake and starring horrified at the underwear, bras and other clothes strewn about the room it dawned on her that she had yet to clean.

"So we will both be sleeping here, yes?" Sam didn't need to see she could hear the smirk Tyron had on his face. Biting back a smart-ass reply, Sam didn't want to look like a complete tool in front of the ever judgmental man and thought quickly of someway to cover up her stupidity.

"Ah... Um, no... I-I... Was just getting my jumper real quick! It's getting a bit cold to me." Sam launched herself at her knit jumper draped on her unmade bed. Throwing it on over her head Sam somewhat tried to fix her hair and turned back towards the door. Leaning against the door frame Tyron smirked knowingly at her before again scanning the room, more specifically her thrown about clothes.

"Shame. The bed could have certainly fit us both. But I wonder if you can really fit these.", Tyron said lifting up a pair of lacy underwear with rose pattern and a small bow, one of her most feminine pairs of panties. Sam was beyond embarrassed at how big her panties were and felt even worse knowing Tyron thought she couldn't even fit in them. However, Sam did not pick up on what Tyron was really meaning. "Perhaps you should show me just how well they truly fit." Tyron purred taking slow steps closer and closer to Sam.

Self-consciousness prevented Sam from seeing what Tyon was actually doing and Sam fought back bad thoughts and kept a stiff upper lip. Focusing on the floor Sam knew if she looked up she might just show too much and crack under pressure, on the other hand Tyron took her silence as her being shy and pushed on, interested to see where this might end up for them. He knew he was manipulative, to say the least, but something in him wanted her to freely chose to want this. Sam felt his presence creeping closer and wrapped her arms around herself hoping her wouldn't have anymore hurtful things to say. Seeing her discomfort in her stance Tyron thought it best he back off a bit, he didn't want to frighten her off on the first night. But there was something in him, something untamed and instinctive, that needed to touch her. He needed something or he won't be able to stop thinking about her, won't be able to do anything else until this need was in anyway put at bay. So he decided on a different approach; a softer and gentler one. 'That's what women like, right?' he thought to himself, almost reassuring that this was a good idea. 'Mortal women are no different, surely... This better achieve something. Even if all I accomplish is getting closer to her. That's has to e something.' the god reasoned in his mind.

Taking the final few paces to her, Tyron ensnared her in his arms and held her as close as possible to him. Sam felt Tyron's arms fastened themselves behind her, one on her waist and the other around her upper back. She felt the warmth radiating from him and stood shocked in his grasp. This was not what she expected from him but she wasn't going to back away. Whether it was the way Tyron moved his hand to smooth out her hair again and again, or if it was how he held her so endearingly - Sam felt safe. In the arms of an alien, a criminal no less, Sam felt safe. Unfolding her arms she wrapped them around the man holding her and she too held him as close as possible. Both smiling to themselves, neither realised how genuine those grins were. The fire of need within Tyron was reduced to a small ever glowing spark, one he began to think would never fade away. In truth he almost hoped it wouldn't, he felt at peace; with his arms around Sam and her's around him. For the first time in a painfully long time Tyron felt at peace.

No moment lasts forever and as the grandfather clock on the lounge room chimed one their own little world together was brought back to the real one. Sighing Sam unhooked herself from the alien and set her mind back to reality.

"Better get to bed, we have a big day tomorrow. Your rooms directly across from here, opposite door." Sam instructed while stifling a yawn.

"Yes, yes of course... What's tomorrow?" Tyron asked as an after thought. Also because in secret he was desperately trying to stay in her presence just a bit longer.

"Well you can't stay in those same clothes forever. So tomorrow we're going shopping to get you some new clothes." Nodding, Tyron forced himself to say goodnight to her and went to his own room. Closing the door behind him, blocking him from getting to Sam, Tyron looked around the room and suddenly felt very cold and lonely being away from Sam's hold in a simple room. A room that didn't smell like Sam's perfume, a room that didn't have touches of Sam everywhere. Realising just what was happening to him Tyron made himself get into bed and lay awake for what felt like hours after failing to get the memory of holding Sam out of his mind.

...*...*...*...

Drifting back to the real world after a night of sleep Tyron felt something heavy laying on him. Instantly his mind flashed to thoughts of Sam and he couldn't stop himself from smiling.

"Awakening to you certainly does make this a 'good morning'.", lifting his left arm to cover his eyes from the streaming sun rays, all that could be seen of Tyron was his usual smirk. Smelling food cooking in the air Tyron stretched under the weight above him, ready to go down stairs and eat. "Breakfast too? You spoil me.'

Tyron moved to wrap his right arm around Sam but instead felt his fingertips brush against fur. Eyes snapping open Tyron bolted up into a sitting position in bed. Laying on his legs looking up at Tyron like he was monitoring him was Colton. Yellow eyes starring down lilac purple to decide who was the head of the house.

"Sadly I must interrupt this deep and special moment between you two to say breakfast is ready." Both man and wolf turned to find Sam standing in the doorway wearing an apron and smiling like an idiot. Leaving and walking to the kitchen Sam could hear the tapping of paws following her down the stairs.

Pulling himself away from the warm soft blankets and stumbling towards the kitchen Tyron followed the smell of food that would lead him to Sam and a hot breakfast. 'Mmm. Sam and a hot breakfast. Not a bad thought.' Tyron stupidly smiled like a love struck boy at this thought. Upon entering the kitchen Tyron was met with the sight of Sam taking two plates, of bacon, eggs, toast and hash browns, to the table. Feeling his mouth practically watering Tyron hurried his pace to join Sam at the table. 'And no mutt in sight. Even better.' Tyron thought.

Sitting opposite Sam, Tyron wasted no time in chowing down. Hearing Tyron hum in satisfaction after his first mouthful, the cook herself smiled sweetly as she too started eating.

"Thank you, this is lovely." After observing his behaviour yesterday with the other strange man Sam was almost shocked to see that h was capable of manners this early in the morning. Then again he always seems to be in a fairly good mood around her. Shaking off her train of thought she went back to peaceful eating, thinking through what needed to be done today.

Between mouthfuls of egg on toast, Sam explained to Tyron, "After breakfast you can go for a shower and I'll give you some spare clothes for the time being as you can't wear... what you're currently wearing." Nodding his head compliantly so that his mouth could be used for more eating, the raven haired man returned his undivided attention back to the meal in front of him, unconcerned with the matters of mortal life that were beneath him in comparison.

"I think I'll be able to tell now if you ever fall in love." the woman proclaimed proudly out of the blue.

Feeling the speed of his heart beating quicken at her outburst Tyron looked up at her in shock, confusion and maybe - just maybe - hope. Reigning his emotions back he knew not to act like a fool. 'I'm not my brother, that can be weakened by any simple woman, and I am certainly no love sick mortal worm. I am forgetting who and what I am. Whatever it is that I feel for this woman isn't real. It's just an act so that I can serve out my sentence in the comfort of her home.' Eyeing her in curiosity, watching as she ate her food in silence as if she never said anything, but now she had a subtle smirk at the corners of her mouth. 'Last night was a mistake. I was tired after a stressful day of being banished and everything that happened after. I was affected by the events of yesterday - nothing more.' He lectured to himself, continuing to stare at her shamelessly, oblivious to her squirming in discomfort at his burning gaze. Now Sam wished she hadn't made her bold statement.

"If you ever look at a woman the way you looked at the food and give her that kind of undivided attention; then I'll know that you've fallen for her." Sam revealed with a cheesy smile. Pretending to chuckle at what he knew was meant to be some kind of humorous joke, Tyron thought over what it was she had said. 'Undivided attention? Could last night have been counted as that? Is she seeing signs of what I'm beginning to feel for her?' Quickly realising what just went through his mind Tyron could only just contain the growl that was forming in the back of his throat. 'No. I feel nothing for her. This is nonsense! She hasn't picked up on any signs of anything as there is nothing to see. She knows nothing of me.' The table vibrated slightly as Sam stood from her place, taking her own plate to the kitchen, and quietly disappeared to someplace upstairs and as a result leaving the man to finish eating alone.

Letting his melancholic thoughts sour his mood he did not savour the last of the dish as he had before, but rather wished for it to be gone so that he might be able to go somewhere else away from the bitter voice of reason in his head. This was only his second day here on earth and Tyron was already finding himself being pulled towards two different paths. One he knew had Sam somewhere along it and the other had a glorious thrown at the end that he also knew he was destined for. Half of him wanted one path, another side of him wanted the other and Tyron wasn't fancying the feeling of standing at a fork in the road, could he just find a way to have both? 'Wait... Yes. Yes, both will do very nicely.' Tyron grinned like the cheshire cat at his own genius. Both would do him just fine.

...*...*...*...

Pulling up to the red traffic lights Sam waited patiently seeing cars drift by in front of here vision while she paused in still silence for the bright green to show itself. Seeing Tyron fidget out of the corner of her eye as he failed to get used to wearing something like a seat-belt, and a car in general. The grassy colour Sam had been waiting for flashed up and she kept driving.

"Now... I'm not trying to be rude, but while we are at the shops you will need to act a bit more...", Sam paused trying to think of the right word to use. "Normal?" - Normal for this world, that is." Sam quickly tried to cover up her mistake realising how it might have been interpreted.

"And what is 'normal' for this world exactly?" Tyron asked with little interest.

"Aaahh -", Sam was uncertain how to answer his question as she wasn't really sure if he really wanted to hear the answer. "Oh! We're here!" Sam was never so relieved to see a busy shopping centre car park. After spending a good fifteen minutes finding an available park the woman of earth and the man of space walked into the brightly lit building pausing for only a moment to adjust to all the noise and light before they were swept up in the channels of people.

Finding a quiet spot between two stores Sam pulled Tyron over with her so they could take a moment. Tyron looked around wildly looking at all the signs and products and people. He had to admit it was somewhat overwhelming, he knew if Sam wasn't with him he'd be lost forever in this place.

"Now where is it you want to go first?" Sam asked him amid all the other voices bouncing off the walls of the large hallway. Reading the words hanging over the different stores in sight Loki blurted out one of the shops that were opposite them.
